I'm having a new problem with this game that I can't pinpoint the cause of. I have used the same download numerous times to install it on XP, W7 betas, RC and RTM without problems until now. The game runs properly with one exception.the sound effects vanish after making a few moves on the board. If they never sounded at all, I would understand better, but this behavior seems to make it apparent that the installation is not corrupt, nor that the sound card setting are the problem. If I close the game and restart it, the sound effects return, but only for a few more moves. This is not due to the configuration of the game, because it does have the sound effects enabled, and the music portion of sound continues as always. I have posted a question on that game's forum, but there is no telling how long before someone responds.if ever.
